Restoring a classic car in Italy from Switzerland: how remote restoration works

In short
It starts with a free call with photos and videos, then a detailed quote. We can organise the trip to collect the vehicle in Switzerland. During the work you receive a continuous photo book and updates on work and costs; no extra costs without your approval.
First contact
You don't need to come to Italy straight away. The first step is a free call, by phone or video: you send us photos and videos of the car or truck, tell us what you would like to achieve, and we tell you honestly what we see.
We then prepare a detailed quote, item by item, with the stages of the work and an indicative timeline.
Pick-up and transport
Sometimes we organise the trip ourselves: we collect the vehicle in Switzerland, bring it to the workshop and, once the work is done, take it back. Alternatively you can deliver it yourself or use a transporter you trust.
The photo book
If you restore from a distance, you want to see. So we document every stage in photos and videos: dismantling, metalwork, paint, upholstery, reassembly. You receive updates during the work and, at the end, a complete book of the restoration, valuable for the history and value of the vehicle too.
Costs always under control
Every update also shows where costs stand against the quote. If something unexpected appears during dismantling, we show you the photos and propose a solution: no extra cost goes ahead without your approval.
Paperwork and customs
A vehicle leaving Switzerland to be restored in Italy and then returning needs customs formalities. A procedure for processing abroad is usually used (in Switzerland, outward processing). We coordinate with you and your customs agent; the exact rules should always be checked with them before departure.
Delivery
When finished, the vehicle is road-tested and handed over in Switzerland or at the workshop, together with the photo book and the list of work carried out.

What currency is the quote in?
Quotes and invoices are in euros.
