Carrellino militare AR 59
The trailer that goes with the Fiat Campagnola AR 59: it arrived with flaking grey paint and a rusty tub, and left in military green, ready to travel behind its AR 59 again.

The story
The Fiat Campagnola AR 59 was the Italian Army's off-roader for years, and it often travelled with its own small trailer: single-axle, compact and tough, with a steel tub, round mudguards and a drawbar with a towing eye.
This one came into the workshop on the bed of a recovery truck, with old grey paint peeling off in patches and a rusty tub floor. It left in military green, hitched to an AR 59 once more.

How it arrived
On the bed of the recovery truck you can see it all: grey paint peeling in patches, old flag stickers, dented mudguards and tyres that need checking.

Tub, chassis and axle
Inside the tub, rust had got into the floor, especially in the corners where water sits. Underneath, chassis, leaf springs and dampers are cleaned and checked before paint.
